Thanks for the help, gives us a place to start looking. And know I learned another tool to help. We actually use pingdom for tracking uptime monitoring, etc.. Works great.

I have resolved the issue. The issue was with the “Better WP Security” plugin. There is a tab in the setup for SSL, I changed the “Enforce Front end SSL” to “Off”. Once I did this I was able to use SSL throughout the site and even just on the shop page. Hope this helps somebody else out.
