Dragging the text widget to the footer element first and then editing the text did not work either. Can someone please advise? It seems like it should be a very straightforward thing to do, but it’s just not working.
This did not work for me, for some reason. I went to Appearance→Widgets, filled out a text widget, dragged it onto footer A, and then hit save. When I went to view my website, the text didn’t appear on my website, even when I hit refresh.
I tried dragging the text widget onto footer B and footer C to see if that would work — still no results.
Am I doing something wrong?
I found a plug-in that was able to do this – problem solved.
