ok… in my case it doesn’t speed up the site anyway… I don’t know why, so I pause it.
Thanks
Thanks for your answer,
I thought It would be faster for me, but I’m Still looking for a working solution : cache warmed regularly, and I’m pretty sure that it will work fine and very fast. (because you plugin has some great functions, the main being it’s simplicity and fast access to the event per date.)
I’ll will post the cache warming solution when I get it.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Cache Enabler] Preload (Warm Cache) Feature?I’m very interested in the preloading/warming cache answer… it is paramount.
and if warming is not possible withing CacheEnabler, which warming plugin would you recommend to use on top of CacheEnabler ?Thanks

And by the way, I suppose the “reload” shortcode has an influence also.
Should the reload parameter be set to the same value as the cache plugin duration ? or may be this reload parameter is enough and no other cache plugin is needed ?
If the reload function would include an automatic expiry and reloading in cache that could fill the whole function wouldn’t it ?Also How could we set up a button on the page that flushes the feeds cache, and reloads it ? Do you have a shortcode or snippet for that ?
I just thought of if now but it would be very useful for users who don’t know how to refresh their page on browser or for instance in case we just added an event on one feed.Hi,
It is important for my site to have all feed on the same page, the whole point is to show all events together at once. (of course the “at once’ depends on cache management).I hadn’t seen the option “use AJAX” so now it’s checked. And I also reduced the time span for collected events. I improved a bit the loading speed but not enough.
and I suppose it should be possible to load the large amount of calendar data in advance through cache tool and therefore avoid long loading times. That would be a great improvement.
So first I tried SUPER CACHE plugin using compression Gzlib, but apparently this causes problems on my site host,
so I’m trying now with the plugin CACHE ENABLER which seems quite simple to use, and apparently sometimes it works better… but not so often actually.I’m not knowing so much about these technical things. So I’m wondering if you would have a cache plugin and configuration advice to recommend.
Thanks.
Hi, thanks for your reply, here are some informations :
How many feeds are you using in one calendar ? :
at the moment 18, and it should carry on growing. (the aim is to collect all events on all categories for a local area)and are you noticing any performance or display issues as a result?
Yes, it is getting quite slow now (12 sec), and I’m trying to find a way with cache tools and preloading the feeds… but I’m not an expert so I go slowly. (I send you on your website email the link so you can view how your plugin works in that case).…the calendar layout could get blown out with each day having a huge list.
Yes, and that’s why I would need the possibility of selecting/deselecting whole groups of feed (for the moment, I have some feeds which include far too many events per day, and I show them on an other web page… If I could switch them off by default then I could include them in the main page, to be shown only if needed)By the way, I’m also thinking of collecting more feeds from Fediverse (many open source social networks crosslinked). And if you are interrested to build a bridge, here is the wordpress plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-bridge-for-activitypub/#description It seems promissing even outside the open source community because even meta might connect with them too.
Thanks for your answer.
I guess I would then have to test for the feed name in php, and add in php for each feed, specific words before and/or after the title.
Unfortunately I’m not able to write php… If you feel like publishing that example in the manual I could paste and that would be perfect. (may be I’ll try with AI and give you the answer if I manage…)Thanks anyway.
It seems to work well now that I take care to use only “add to my store” way of choosing the vendor…
(may be it came also from the fact that an update of woocommerce and database came up and solved the issue… don’t really know)
OK, I understand as you say that SPMV products for new vendors will need to be manually added one by one. Therefore I mark the question as answered.
For future improvement, bulk action on adding SPMV products for new vendors would be very useful (at least in my case).
Thanks for all your replies.
Thanks for your answer. I understand more and can precise my question :
I’m happy to have only one product on the frontend, so I’m interested in SPMV way of making product available to several vendors. So I would like to have several products which are already existing, all (in one bulk action) made available for sale into a new vendor shop.
Is it possible ? (or do we have to add these products one by one ?)Also if possible I would also like to create a new vendor (“duplicate” a vendor) and add all the same products of the first vendor to the new vendor as SPMV. is it possible ?
Finally I would like to know if these ways of assigning several SPMV product to a vendor can be done by the site administrator. (This would help to create quickly 10 vendors with all the same SPMV products).
Thank you very much.
OK, thanks for your reply. I will reflect on all this.
Hi, actually the duplicated products would be exactly the same, but proposed by different vendors (because buyers can only buy to the closest vendor in their village, and the other products will be hidden to the buyer using a snipped code multivendorX advised).
then all my questions can probably better be answered :
how to
– bulk action to duplicate and assign several existing products to an other vendor.
– or if not possible, at least duplicate several products in one bulk action (and I will assign them later to the vendor).
or
– duplicate a whole vendor with all his assigned products
– be able later to duplicate and assign a product to several vendors in one bulk action.to go further than the previous message, I see two possible solutions :
– to duplicate and assign several existing products to an other vendor (as mentioned before), that would be the best.
– or at least duplicate several products in one bulk action.or
– duplicate a whole vendor with all his assigned products
– be able later to duplicate and assign a product to several vendors in one bulk action.Could you please tell me if any of these actions are possible ? Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for your quick answer which gives already a good step forward.
In fact I would like to first duplicate and then assign a product to an other vendor (as for adding a new vendor for an existing product in the logic of same product multiple vendor). Is this possible also ? or do I need to first duplicate it and then assign it ? Thank you.
