Thanks so much for all the advice.

I used PHPMyadmin and successfully changed back the URLs. Unfortunately although I can access my WordPress admin page and also I can access my blog index page, when I click on any blog post links from the blog index page it redirects me to mysite.com/blogpost when it’s supposed to go to mysite.com/blog/blogpost and instead of showing the blog post it just shows my normal index (otherwise available at mysite.com/index). So I can’t access my blog posts at all. Hopefully if I wait a bit of time it will reset, I’ll try again tomorrow. I hope I don’t have to learn to use this thing called “FTP”, a simple error will end up consuming so many hours of my time it’s unbelievable…

PS – By the way, when I edited the URLS in PHPMyadmin should I put http://mysite.com/blog or http://mysite.com/blog/ (the difference being that last ‘/’)?

PPS – Two clarifications. First, I can only access my WordPress admin by going to my blog index and editing a post, getting in that way. If I try to access the WordPress admin normally I get:

    http://mysite.com/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/blog/wp-login.php

Also, I have no idea if I’m using permalinks or not, how do I find out? In ‘settings’ – ‘permalinks’ I have the ‘Post name’ option selected. I see this is written in the link that’s been posted:

    Changing the .htaccess file

After changing the information in your Administration > Settings > General panel, you will need to update your .htaccess file if you are using Permalinks or any rewrites or redirects.

Make a backup copy of your .htaccess file. This is not a recommendation but a requirement.
Open the .htaccess file in a text editor.
Review its contents, looking for any custom rewrites or redirects you entered. Copy these to another text file for safe keeping.
    Close the file.
Follow the instructions on the Permalinks SubPanel for updating your Permalinks to the .htaccess file.
Open the new .htaccess file and check to see if your custom rewrites and redirects are still there. If not, copy them from the saved file and paste them into the new .htaccess file.
Make any changes necessary in those custom rewrites and redirects to reflect the new site address.
    Save the file.
Test those redirects to ensure they are working.

I don’t understand if I need to do this. I would try to do it, if I knew how to find the “instructions on the Permalinks SubPanel for updating your Permalinks to the .htaccess file.”
