I just tried the suggestion and in the Classic Editor, the option for NextGen Featured image is gone.
In the block editor I get:
[02-Apr-2019 19:00:52 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mime_content_type() in /home/trini436/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_data/package.module.nextgen_data.php on line 4989Deleting my post – wrong problem.

In reply to: [Seamless Donations is Sunset] In-depth FAQ availableHi – great plugin.
I’m wondering if there is a way to make one of my funds the default, as in ‘auto-selected’ when someone goes to the donate page.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Media from FTP] Automatically register uploaded files on scheduleWell, I made the changes and it didn’t change anything. I put the file back to it’s original. I deactivated all other plugins in case there was an incompatible mix. That did not change the behavior either.

In reply to: [Media from FTP] Automatically register uploaded files on scheduleKatsushi, I think you meant the lines in
/wp-content/plugins/media-from-ftp/req/MediaFromFtpAdmin.phpdoes that sound better? That’s where I see the code. I’ll comment out as you suggested and let you know.

In reply to: [Media from FTP] Automatically register uploaded files on scheduleDo you mean /wp-content/plugins/media-from-ftp/mediafromftp.php? If so, the one I have only goes to line 72.

In reply to: [Media from FTP] Automatically register uploaded files on scheduleThanks for the tips, I’m not looking to hide the loading circle – I just want it to load. It never does. I cleared cache, deleted the tmp folder as you suggested but the problem persists. I can’t tell if this is a performance issue on the server but I don’t think so as I don’t have any other of this type of issue.

In reply to: [Media from FTP] Automatically register uploaded files on scheduleHi Katsushi,
After installing version 6.3 of media from ftp (which I really like) – I am stuck after activating it – it never gets off the 1st page – just keeps the circle in the middle of the screen running. The page is the one with the list of the links to “Search and Register”, “Settings”, “Exclude File”, “Schedule”, “Command-line”, and “Donate to this plugin”. Would this be perhaps a java compatibility problem? I’m running WordPress 4.2.1. I’m at a loss. I thought maybe network traffic was bogging it down — stepped away for > 1 hr. and still the page had not loaded.
Any thoughts?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Media upload failures after installing 3.8.1The problem I’ve been having appears to be specific to a Nimbus theme I am using. If I switch to a default theme or from another developer I am able to upload media files.

In reply to: Media upload failures after installing 3.8.1I noticed today that the multi-file upload does not create the new directory it should which would be /wp-content/uploads/2014/02 (I don’t have any uploads for February yet) but the single file upload does create it. I do have the “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” option checked in Media Settings.

In reply to: Empty add media popup and error on image uploadI have not been able to upload media at all since the updates. My existing media files were fine. One thing I’ve noticed today while still pounding my head against the wall is that if I use the single file upload in the ‘Add New’ media panel, the new directory for ../wp-content/uploads/2014/02 gets created (the 02 is the new directory) but the file upload fails so the directory is empty. If I try to upload using the multi-file uploader that came with WordPress (not an additional plug-in that I installed) the upload fails and the ’02’ directory for February does not get created. I have all plug-ins deactivated at this time. The error I get with the multi-file upload is ““service.jpeg” has failed to upload due to an error Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.” even though .jpeg, .jpg, etc. are allowed. I tried opening up all the file permissions in the ../upload directory and it did not correct the problem. The error when using the single file upload is simply “Error saving media attachment”. I’m not finding anything in my logs either. I noticed there are a couple of other posts regarding media uploads in the past couple of days – including one of mine. No answers yet. I’m going to put in Firebug and see if I can glean more information out.
Good luck.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Media upload failures after installing 3.8.1Why do you assume I am that stupid? If you don’t have any suggestions of where I can look for error messages or dig into the code deeper please don’t ask me things like that. I did not say anything about WordPress blocking .jpg – because you’re right – it would be stupid. That’s why I’m confused about why I can’t upload them anymore.
