In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] Bug@conquerortravel great to hear you managed to solve the problem. Before anybody starts messing with the database; minify plugins usually have a button “clear minify cache” and that should be more than enough π Most caching/minify plugins also warn you on plugin update to clear cache.

In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] BugThis is probably some kind of server-side caching system from your hosting provider. Check out webhostβs configuration panel (cPanel) and see if there is any option to flush cache. One of my hosts uses such a system and I need to flush cache in cPanel to see changes when I’m logged in.

BlazHi @taysr,
The code above is not related to my plugin. Are you sure you are using Rate my Post? π

In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] BugI don’t completely understand. Google bot sees page the same way as you do in incognito – it doesn’t cache your files, at least not for more than couple of minutes π
Btw if you open outside incognito and you are not logged in, does it show the rating widget normally or with an error? Just curios if it’s browser cache or some kind of backend caching system.

In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] BugThat shouldn’t be required. Do you use CDN such as Cloudflare? If you do, also clear cache there. And when you check if it’s working open an incognito window (and don’t be logged in) because the old file might still be cached by your browser.

In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] Cookies is not definedHi @galinabublik,
I see you are utilizing defer loading of javascript and that’s most likely the reason for the error. Try disabling defer and let’s see π

BlazHi @oshershalom,
that’s happening because you haven’t cleared cache after the update. Your website is still loading the old javascript file which is not compatible with how the plugin works after the update.
Try clearing cache (minify, page cache and any CDN caches) and if it doesn’t work after that, don’t hesitate to contact me again π

In reply to: [Rate My Post - Star Rating Plugin by FeedbackWP] Memu and homepageto implement stars on the front page you need to edit the front page template and retrieve vote count, average rating and visual rating. It’s a bit more complicated.
Happy you like the plugin.
