N/m I had to open the original download file up. and then zip the Theme folder separately, then upload that. I got it now. I’m new at this. Thanks.
Perhaps the directions should be a little more clear for us first timers? They way I read it was to just upload the zip file you downloaded. Now I understand that it only needed the theme file and not all of the other stuff I got as well.

To install Locus WordPress theme, just put the theme folder in themes directory under wp-content and activate it from the WordPress admin.
That was all I got. Is this different then going to my dashboard and using Apperance; Theme; Upload ???
