Me too facing the same problem. Am using wordpress ver 4.0. When install wp-ecommerce plugin shows error. Have implemented the same plugin to default theme also facing same issue.
500 – Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.Files is runing on godaddy hosting. Pls anyone can help how to fix the issue.

Try to correct folder permissions (755 or 777) and owners for
wp-content/
wp-content/uploads/orelse you can contact your host provider.

Am when upgrading wordpress asking connection information…
hostname, username, FTP password, connection type as ftp/ftps everything given correctly… But not updating shows error There was an error connecting to the server. Please verify the settings are correct…Pls suggest me…
