Everything works in Safari. All my old blogs also work. It’s evening in my CO mountain home and my ISP slows to a trickle with many people on it. So testing this in IE 11, running in a virtual machine on my MacAir, was problematic–sometimes new windows opened but usually I got an exploding icon telling me IE couldn’t process the request. I’ll check them in the morning when my speed is over 10 Mbps.

In Firefox, I’ve carefully attempted to look at the text in the editor and compare it to your suggested format. Only one link opens in a new window, all the others replace the window. Here’s the text from my links:
    Alternet link: Alternet.org
    curmudgucation link: curmudgucation.blogspot.com
View from the Cheap Seats: “View From The Cheap Seats”
The Ballast link that opens in a new window: The Ballast
The Ballast link that won’t open in a new window: The Ballast
Beware the Charter Attrition link: Beware the Charter Attrition Game

When one Ballast link works and the second doesn’t, and I can’t see the difference, I’m stumped. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Deactivated all, didn’t solve problem. I was running 20/11 with newer themes installed but unactivated. Tried 20/14 and 20/15 and had no success either, and the images on my page headers also disappeared. I’ve updated 20/11, no success, so I updated and reactivated plugins: Only running Akismet, Contact Form by BestSoft, Feedburner, and WP DB backup. I’ve also tried older posts, thinking that my latest post was the issue, but all my older posts which worked just fine have the same problem.

Digging deeper, I found Safari works fine. Firefox 38.0.1 is up to date. I updated Java which Firefox said it was blocking for security reasons, closed and reopened Firefox, but that didn’t solve the problem. Here’s the site: http://www.k12edtalk.com
