Just to conclude this topic, it seems as though the problem was with the transfer between servers by my host. I recently upgraded from shared to business hosting and my site was not optimized for the server.

Cheers for the response.
It did actually happen after I changed from Godaddy shared hosting to business hosting. I think the problem may be with the site optimization for the different server.
I am getting a downgrade and going back to shared hosting…
