I haven’t used the theme, but the side text could be a widget combined with a custom template? Unfortunately I’m not sure…
Are the images using featured images from posts?

Many people use bbpress for forums, which is not directly build into WordPress.
As to your menu, you can go Appearance > Menus, and assign a menu, then add any pages to that menu. You can even define custom links to outside websites.

No. There are tons of sites with very similar content made each day. Think News.
If the content is identical in all three blogs, then yes – there is an impact.

In reply to: Login to WordPress from another siteiframe is probably your best bet. A nice link to a login page on the WP install location would be more reliable, and easier to setup.
