Actually we are a Premium installation qualifying by being under 1000 entries, not as a paying customer.
I’m not surprised with the response from your developers. I anticipated it so I’ve set up a separate WP site to handle our mailings where WP users will be very limited and not conflict with our member subscribers. Thanks for your help on this. Just having the limitation confirmed is helpful.
I will write up our needs and send them to the link you have provided.

In your email you requested “Could you please contact us via the floating Chat icon that appears when you are navigating in MailPoet menus on your website’s dashboard?” I can’t find any kind of Chat icon on the dashboard. Is it only visible during your working hours? I’m in the Eastern time zone (Ontario, Canada).
In any case I suspect that our “use case” is something not anticipated by your developers. I’d welcome an opportunity to outline our needs and the varied use of our website. I could send a document if you want to provide an email address.

@guicmazeredo thanks for responding.
My problem is not duplicate subscribers. My problem is that in cases where I have a specific person (i.e. email address) in both the MailPoet Subscriber database AND the same person/email address as a WordPress user attempts to correct/update the email address in the subscriber database fail being detected as a duplicate entry.
As I noted above I am trying to run the MailPoet subscriber database totally independent from the WordPress User database. I have disabled the WordPress user list but there still seems to be a linkage between the two.
