In reply to: Custom Header uploads blank white image after domain switchoverNo, I have tried various images – including ones which I know worked previously, so it’s definately not the fault of one image. Also, as mentioned in the top post, it’s not just the header, but also when inserting images into posts (which I cannot do anymore).
With JPEGs (i.e. the format which my intended header is in), the error message does not come up but instead proceeds as if the image is there and just shows a blank white image.
I just wondered if that error message that comes for non JPEGs (e.g. TIFF images) may be a clue as to the basis of the error.
Having looked at the databases, I have definately got two (I think they are pretty much the same and is a result of the error-ridden reinstallation process when switching domains). One is called ‘mydb1’ and the other ‘mydatabase1’ – the latter is being used.
Again, thanks for your help, where should I go from here do you think?

In reply to: Custom Header uploads blank white image after domain switchoverI have changed it over to the Twenty Eleven theme for the moment. I have uploaded a custom header. On the crop header screen no image – or box – appears, so I select ‘crop and publish’ and it goes back to the header screen as if it’s uploaded…but nothing there.
When I try uploading one of my old headers it doesn’t do this but instead get the following error message:
“Warning: imagecreatefromstring() [function.imagecreatefromstring]: Data is not in a recognized format in /home/yorkonth/public_html/wp/wp-includes/media.php on line 254
Image could not be processed. Please go back and try again.”
Does that suggest anything?
How do I find out which database is being used? (Sorry, I’m a novice, need my hand holding).
Thanks for your support again.

In reply to: Custom Header uploads blank white image after domain switchoverUnsuccessful unfortunately but thanks for the suggestions.
I noticed that I in fact have 2 SQL databases (the programmers for the web hosting company must have used this as a workaround when we were having difficulty switching over). Could this be something to do with it? Any suggestions?
Thanks again.
