nevermind i resolved the issue – i looked through my themes .php files and noticed that it had different coding for the main index and page template.
the homagepage is http://www.barrybeckham.com.
I set the home page to a static page, but i want the home page to look like this page of the website with the widgets: http://barrybeckham.com/?page_id=100
