I am not sure that I made myself clear in my question. I’ll try and clarify.
1. Display user on Ticket page. I want to display the user entering the support query on the Submit & List Tickets pages. This information is obviously available to the code. The Open A Ticket and Logout buttons use this information. Registration creates a new wordpress site user. I just want to enhance the support pages by displaying who is asking for support.
2. Registration. We have several companies (and several products) that we wish to use a support desk for. I assume that this is the same for most organisations wishing to offer on-line support. I need to be able to identify the company that they are from, and also a telephone number to contact them. Adding this as an (optional) field on the Registration page would allow this. Subsequently I will want to be able to report on all the support queries from a particular company, etc.
3. Built in data fields. I see the add-on.
4. I don’t seem to be getting very far here!
5. I think I will look at other plugins.
