Thanks for the link. Luckily I’m not having any real problems… just the cosmetic “problem” of not being able to sort links the way I want. I’ve submitted an enhancement ticket and hopefully this will be corrected in the future.

Is there a way to sort other than by rank and individually for each link category?

I had one link category sorted by descending URLs and another sorted by ascending IDs, with the rest sorted to the default (ascending names). Is there a way to do this in WP 2.1?

I wonder why this functionality was removed?

I’m having the same problem. I’ve just upgraded from 2.0.5 to 2.1 and all of my links are now sorted by name and not how I had them sorted previously. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to sort them anymore.

Thanks for the help, but I reverted back to the 2.0.4 versions of both profile.php and user-edit.php and everything works fine now. It looks like the problem lies with the 2.0.5 versions.
