Yes your right, running 5.3.28 an old version. Have just sent a ticket off to host for an update. Thank you! 🙂
Also noticed on the status page that MySQL is 5.1.73. It’s also telling me an update is recommended for that too.

Had the same trouble. I rolled back after the update to 3.3.3 woocommerce plugin and it works again. Though all my customers orders are being cancelled on returning back to merchant from Paypal.
I have spent 3 days on it already but can’t work out what the problem is.
Very frustrating!
