In reply to: Layout with posts in multiple areas/sectionsI have at least basic knowledge of HTML and CSS as well as some basics regarding editing themes, but this sort of post placement is out of my range.
thanks for the suggestions, I will most likely give magazine-basic a try. the other two seem to have a very basic post structure though..?
I’m looking for a way to visually sort posts into two or three different areas on the front page. the sample page on magazine-basic seems to have this, so I will try and have a look into how they are sorted in that theme.

In reply to: Unable to align images to the left in posts (css included)oh, and I can select left as the alignment, but this means the text goes next to the image which is not what I’m trying, I just want the picture itself to not be centered.

In reply to: Themes not showing in presentation panelI had the same problem because of what jeremyclark mentioned above.
wp-content/themes/themename – should have all the php files etc
if it doesn’t show up there might be a problem with the theme itself.

In reply to: Problem with line spacing in posts (css included)perfect – thanks so much!
one other question, how do I align images to the left instead of center in posts? doing it when writing seems to be overriden by something, is it in the stylesheet?

try to locate “line-height” somewhere in your stylesheet, it should be under a few different parts. locate the one related to sidebar and adjust it to a different value.
