    Regarding existing tasks, they will continue to run, and we are actively exploring ways to enhance task management in future updates.

    Regarding the one-click database download, while it’s not immediately available, you can still back up your database by navigating to the Settings page and using the dropdown in the backup history section. We acknowledge this isn’t the exact experience you were used to, but we are working on making improvements in this area.

    Our team is committed to delivering an updated version that retains the straightforward functionality you and your customers have appreciated. In the meantime, if you prefer the previous version while we work on improvements, you can revert to 4.1.7 here.

    We want to assure you that we’re actively working to address these issues and improve the product from the ground up. We’ve already reintroduced custom scheduling options and backup history, and backup file formats are being restored this week.
    We’re also planning to remove the two-job limitation, allowing you to create and edit unlimited backups. These changes aim to restore the flexibility and control you expect from BackWPup.

    Our goal with the update was to simplify backup management for new users, but we recognize that in doing so, we removed some of the advanced customization options that many users relied on. We are committed to bringing back a lot of the functionality and usability that our users previously enjoyed.

    We appreciate that having only a read-only mode isn’t sufficient for managing your previous backup jobs. That’s why we’re actively working to restore the ability to create, edit, and schedule backup jobs as needed.

    Regarding the ZIP compression option, it’s currently available through our helper plugin, but we’ll be bringing it back as a built-in setting in the next few days.

    If you prefer, you can use version 4.1.7 for now while we continue to improve the current version. You can download it from here.
