Came here for this issue too. I was going to ask if the pro version allowed you to show only future events, but it looks like its a bug in pro too. Yeah, related events are all from last year, will have to disable until a fix happens.

Never mind, I deleted this plugin in favor of one that worked immediately without any issues. Perhaps your plugin is not compatible with business Pinterest accounts.
