In reply to: Visual Editor Tab there but not working? Advice needed.Thanks again Tara, but I’ve unfortunately tried that as well. Several times actually when I went between 3.8.3, 3.91 and 3.9 troubleshooting. I’m 48 hours into searching the internet, forums, colleagues, etc.
I see several posts on her from a year ago or 2 years ago with exact same symptoms. Unfortunately no solutions anywhere.

In reply to: Visual Tab there but not working!?. Visual Editor issues with 3.9.1Unfortunately, I switched to 2014 and the visual editor still did not show up.
Now what? I’m not sure where to go from here trying to fix. I did replace all files from a 3.8.3 WP install via FTP, still didn’t work. Clicked the ‘install 3.9.1’ button in the dashboard hoping it would fix the issue with a fresh update but still no visual editor.
I’m really in a pinch. I’m happy to pay anyone for help. I’m lost when it comes to databases and coding (beyond the basics).
Any HELP appreciated. 🙂

In reply to: Visual Tab there but not working!?. Visual Editor issues with 3.9.1kmessinger, thanks for the suggestion but it was turned on. I turned it off in the user settings and then back on to see if that would reset anything but… no luck.

Visual Editor issues with 3.9.1I tried to retroactively install the old files from a WP 3.8.3 install folder (minus the wp config file and WP content folder). That seems to have gotten me back into 3.8.3 but it did not automatically turn back on the Visual Composer Tab…
Am I missing something else to ‘fully’ revert back? Same issues still, while my other sites that have used identical themes & plugins are smooth because they were never updated to 3.9 or 3.91 in the first place.

I’m afraid that after ready the comments on the theme I purchased, it may be “an issue with Visual Editor by WP Bakery being ’embedded into the theme and not show as an actual plugin”…
Honestly I’m not a coder so I’m in the dark as to what that truly means. I understand that if this were a plugin I could turn on/off. But I’m not sure how to go forward.
