Thank you for the answer! I finally went in and manually upgraded to the latest version of WP today. My client uses GoDaddy as their host and I have found it difficult to navigate with their crazy file manager. However, I have managed to upgrade WP…so Yay! A small triumph.

On the flip side. when I go back in to update my plugins. It is still prompting me to put in my FTP info (which doesn’t work anyway!) and isn’t doing automatic updates. Will I have to manually update those plugins as well? I REALLY am hoping not. I had thought once I manually updated WP to the latest version that this glitch would be fixed and there wouldn’t be a need for manual updates of anything. It was updating automatically just fine for a good while.

Could you please advise me on what I should do about my outdated plugins and also if there is a real, long-term fix to the manual update glitch? I have another website using WordPress through a different host and have never had this issue with it thankfully (knock on wood & hope it stays that way as manual updates are time consuming).
