In reply to: [Make] Site not displaying correctly on Safari and IEHi Corey,
Thanks for having looked into this.
If indeed the problem comes from the stylesheet not loading, at least, I know where to look to try to solve the problem! It’s very weird!
I did change a few things in the code and added bits of code myself too! I might have messed things up then, but since it’s fine on Firefox and Chrome, I was hoping it would be the same with Safari and IE.
Do you think I should remove the stylesheet from my web host, copy and paste it somewhere try to upload it again?
Also, shall I be using a child theme? Why?
Sorry for my silly questions…I realize I know much less than I should!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Make] HR not displayingHi again,
I double checked and all my plugins are disabled.
I did make some changes to the CSS and template file, as I needed to add things in the template. So I have new divs and such. Can this be problematic? How to fix that?
The thing I don’t understand is why things could be conflicting with MAKE only in some browsers and not the others?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Make] Site not displaying correctly on Safari and IEHi there,
Thanks for your answer.
I disabled all my plugins and the problem still persists.
I looked at the MAKE Demo in Safari and it seems too be fine.
I took a screen capture of the “visual disaster” and put it on snag. You can see it here:
http://snag.gy/t7PXa.jpgI really don’t know how to solve this issue, so if you have any advice, please let me know.
Do you think it might be a problem with the display tag?Thank you so much for your help
All the best

In reply to: [Make] HR not displayingThe hr was simply not displaying at all and since I had to put the site online anyway I found an alternative! Not the cleanest one, but it works.
However, whatever I do the </hr> is not showing on the site. It works when I use the builder page version, but then once I post it it does not appear on the site!
Weird!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Make] Site not displaying correctly on Safari and IEHi Corey,
Thanks for your e-mail.
NO I haven’t fixed this major problem yet! I wish I could add a screenshot here to show you what I see. I’m very surprised that you see the site looking the same on Safari and Firefox, because it seems to be the case for no one else. On IE it’s the same problem by the way! Which version of the browsers are you using?
Is there a way to fix those problems by adding a special line in the code somewhere?Thank you very much for your answers

In reply to: [Make] HR not displayingHi there,
First, I tried using Make’s built-in Format Builder. There, I could see the line appear in the visual mode, but then when I looked at the site the line was not there. I made sure the CSS was ok and it was, but then I changed the color to double check and still nothing, no change.
So, I decided to insert it directly into the code of the page, I tried several different places to see something appear and no, nothing appears. The code I put was <hr/>
Instead, now I used a nasty bunch of underscore one after an other! Not clean!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Make] Site not displaying correctly on Safari and IEHi,
on Safari, it’s a total nightmare! I don’t even have my nav bar displaying correctly, nor any image! I don’t have my divs either. Everything is smashed together!
It seems that the display property is not well recognized by those browsers, but I’m not sure about that and I don’t know how to fix that either.
It works just fine with google chrome, firefox and opera!
IE (not really surprising!) and safari are the troubled ones!
If you have safari on your computer or on a tablet you can see the disaster by typing: http://www.caryatid.frAny idea on how to solve that huge problem ???
Thanks in advance,
