In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Cannot take the URL of the sitemap’s indexThank you for sending a link to your sitemap.
The issue you are coming across in your sitemap is due to a single empty line at the top of the page. Problems like this are typically due to having whitespaces in a PHP file, which in your case is likely the functions.php file.
Please revert any changes that might have been done to that file and report back to ensure your sitemap works appropriately.

In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Delete URL from SitemapThank you for reaching out regarding your questions.
Yes, your sitemap will automatically update when you add or remove pages from your WordPress website.
If you would like to hide a particular page or post, you can do so by adding your page or post IDs separated by commas under the Excluded Items of our plugin.

At this time, this is not possible with our plugin. However, our team is working hard on a new 5.0 release, which will have a lot of new features and enhancements for your sitemaps.
If you are interested in participating in our upcoming BETA release, please fill out this form and we will be in touch when it launches. -> https://forms.gle/t7rxRJYbvMBw9FUj7

In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Deindex category from GoogleThank you for reaching out with your questions.
Our team has looked into your issues, and we are happy to confirm that our plugin has correctly identified your website categories and home page on the following pages:
https://inchennais.com/sitemap-pt-post-2020-12.xml
https://inchennais.com/sitemap-misc.xml
We can also confirm that the selected categories are correctly excluded from your sitemap. The no0follow rule that was applied to categories seems to be working as shown here https://inchennais.com/category/dhotis-in-india/
One thing to note is that removing some entries from the sitemap doesn’t mean they are automatically de-indexed from Google. They need to be manually removed from Google, and the admin needs to add no index no follow meta-rule in those pages.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.`
