Hi @vimalroy08, you’re correct that the (free) community edition doesn’t include news sitemap support.

Like many alternative plugins available, the news sitemap feature is included in our upcoming premium edition of the plugin, along with a roadmap of very exclusive features. Find out more at our website.

@janca did you not face a similar issue with other sitemap generators (including WordPress itself)?

Unfortunately, this is not a sitemap issue as your sitemap looks good.

Instead, the “crawl budget” (how deeply is going to get into your website) is very low for most pages. The best way to address this issue is to increase the number of backlinks to pages you wish to rank in Google. Alternatively, remove as many irrelevant pages from your sitemaps as possible to maximize your crawl budget.

We are coming out with a new feature that will address this issue once and for all to overcome crawl budget issues in a future release. Beta users will have access to it early.

Hello @florent123, are you able to check your web server logs to see if there are errors related to google’s crawler in your webserver logs?

Typically, this issue is caused by inconsistent or slow web server response time.

Thanks for the feedback @perryzelda. We’ve been focused on the next major version and did a poor job of testing the release. If you update the plugin, you will find that the plugin guidelines are now properly observed.

The language shown now was placeholder text from a new plugin version that didn’t get customized for the community version, which functions differently.

Regarding the breadth of the anonymous tracking for users that opt-in, the objective is to see when our notifications are viewed and the user’s selections.

We’ll review it again and push an update to ensure the guidelines are followed precisely. We’ve supported this community for over a decade without issue, and nothing will change about that.

Thanks, everyone, for the concerns and feedback. The notice is an optional consent (which has been a best practice in many projects for some time) asking users to allow anonymous usage data to be gathered so that we can improve the software more rapidly by better understanding usage and use cases of the features.

Do you all have better suggestions around language that would be clearer for users?
