Thank you for your suggestions. I went through an extensive trouble shooting process. Just last night, I was finally able to find the issue which seemed to be related to the Terms and Conditions extension plugin. I had installed the extension plugin but it was not allowing me to click on the option to turn it on in the form menu (the dropdown would not work and the default option could not be changed, which is ‘No’). So I had left the plugin activated but unused. Turns out that as soon as I deactivated the Terms and Conditions plugin from the plugin page, the register button worked and the user was registered. However I have encountered a different issue regarding which I will make a new post. I hope you can look into why that plugin would cause such an issue as I hope to make use of that extension sometime in the near future.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have been unable to resolve this issue thus far. Some of the steps I have taken include disabling all other plugins as well as using the base wordpress theme. I have disabled the strong password as well. The issue is still there. If there is a conflict, any suggestions on what it could be? Again your help is really appreciated!
