Yes, you can permanently delete the images you dont need from the media library.
If the images are not added to the library you can delete them right from the gallery.Sincerely,

Thanks for contacting us.The CSS you have should work after adding it to the additional CSS of your theme.
As of now you have gray color:
.bwg_image_description, .bwg_image_description * {
color: #B0B0B0 !important;
font-family: Ubuntu;
font-size: 13px;
font-weight: bold;
word-break: break-word;Please try changing the color and adding the code again to the additional CSS section of your theme.
