In reply to: Yahoo WordPress installation as my HomepageMicael H is correct. Yahoo doesn’t allow access me to see my .htaccess.
Is there another way to do this wihtout having the ability to alter .htaccess?
I didn’t get any prompt telling me what I should paste into the .htacess area. Does that mean WordPress did it automatically?

In reply to: Yahoo WordPress installation as my HomepageOk. I switched over to Safari, and for some reason, I was able to delete /miami. Now, my index “askgogo.com” page is working, YAY!… BUT nothing else is.
How do I fix this?
I updated permalinks to reflect: http://www.askgogo.com/miami/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ . The permalinks were originally set to day and name. I switched to reflect the newfolder/day/name. (However, I’d prefer just newfolder/name. That’s beside the point right now.)
All I get is “Sorry. The page you are looking for does not exist”
I did notice that a folder called “phpmyadmin” dropped into my yahoo file manager. Is this the folder that needs to be copied into my .htaccess file? The file I don’t have access to? (see rule 11) If so, is there a way for me to create a work-around?
FYI: Thanks for your help.

In reply to: Yahoo WordPress installation as my HomepageOk. For some reason, I’m not able to delete /Miami from the blog address URL field. I know, I know. I get the warning prompt, and I press ok. But I still can’t make any changes in that field.
Any ideas?

In reply to: Yahoo WordPress installation as my HomepageHmmm… I don’t have access to my .htaccess file. Will that be a problem?
(Rule number 7) Copy the index.php and .htaccess files from the WordPress directory into the root directory of your site (Blog address). The .htaccess file is invisible, so you may have to set your FTP client to show hidden files. If you are not using pretty permalinks, then you may not have a .htaccess file. )

In reply to: Yahoo WordPress installation as my HomepageSorry. It’s askgogo.com. When you go there, you’ll see images missing. Then if you click on the logo, you’ll be sent to askgogo.com/miami, where the site is properly displayed.
