Using Google’s CMP can be great for simplifying and future-proofing the setup for websites that rely mostly on Google services.
The only drawback is that Google CMP doesn’t communicate the consent state to the WP Consent API (and vice versa).
I thought this gap could be bridged with Site Kit.

I now get this message:

I thought it might be a good opportunity to integrate with WordPress’s privacy framework (

Also, I’ve done some testing with Google’s CMP. Things seem to be working, but the consent changes are not being communicated to the WP Consent API, which makes it less useful. Maybe Site Kit can bridge this gap.

It might also be worth mentioning that CLS and INP are measured throughout the page lifecycle, and not just on page load.
Overall, the dynamic nature of websites, AdSense and the Web Vital metrics makes it practically impossible for publishers to effectively and sustainably optimize the ads user experience over time.
That’s why I thought a collaboration between Site Kit and AdSense would benefit publishers, readers and Google itself.
Such collaboration can potentially find a way to implement top Anchor ads without causing page load CLS, for example.
