By putting them into the footer and implementing caching, it has all resolved.

Sorry for the delay.
We are using Events Manager by Marcus Sykes. The map is embedded in each event and when printing, the rest of the event shows up, but the map is a grey square.
Apologies again for the delay in responding.
We did and it looks like it may be the theme (responsive – themeid.com).
Decided to go with a custom single event page as described in the documentation.
Works out perfectly!

A memory issue on the web server. Increased memory assigned to PHP and Events Manager installed and activated!
