In reply to: Problem with IEI just looked at your site using IE 7 and I’m not getting any error messages. Maybe it’s a caching problem? Try clearing your cache.

In reply to: Akismet doesn’t show spam descriptionsOk.. update.. I got it to work. I deleted Akismet and downloaded a fresh copy and uploaded, activated and did a test post. Akismet caught it and I was able to see it.
Whew! I’m glad that’s overwith!… *I hope*
Thanks to all who tried to help.

In reply to: Akismet doesn’t show spam descriptionsIt says 0. The thing I’m getting at is this: On the main page of the dashboard it will show “x” amount of spam caught. I will go into comments Akismet Spam and check on the tab it says 0 new even though the spam count has gone up. Akismet deletes it before I can check the spam. I know Akismet deletes after 15 days or something like that but it’s not even keeping it that long.

In reply to: Akismet doesn’t show spam descriptionsI don’t know what you mean by number in the header. The header of what? I’m sorry if I seem dense, but it’s 1:30am and I’m tired 🙂
As for the screenshot it’s like mine except mine never shows the latest spam or a delete button. It just shows the number caught which is now up to 18, but no list of spam.

In reply to: Adhesive plug-in unavailableI downloaded and installed Adhesive 3.2. I’m using WP 2.1 and Adhesive 3.2 works just fine with it.
Update: I uninstalled it because it caused a problem that was mentioned in another thread. It caused the next and previous links at the bottom of the page to disappear.

In reply to: Akismet doesn’t show spam descriptionsI’m having the same problem with Akismet. Earlier today it said it caught 6 spam since installed. Just a few minutes ago it’s now saying 12. But when I go to see what spam was caught to make sure it really is spam I do not see any listed. The only options on the configuration page are to put in the API key (done) and to automatically discard spam comments on posts older than a month (unchecked).
I want a spam catcher that will allow me to see the spam before deleting it. I want control over that.

In reply to: Upload error in 2.1I found the problem. In the wp-content/uploads/2007/01 the 01 folder didn’t have the permissions right. That folder I somehow missed. I set the permissions and now it works!
Thanks vkaryl and HandySolo! I’m a happy camper now!

In reply to: Upload error in 2.1Can’t anyone help me? I can’t get a photo into a post without uploading to photobucket and pasting the url in. I would really like to get my wordpress 2.1 working properly.
The error message comes up where the upload manager is in the post. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix this. I’ve made sure the permissions are right and I don’t see a plugin that might be causing the problem. I don’t have any plugins that have to do with uploads.

In reply to: Error Establishing Database ConnectionI just had the same problem when upgrading to the lastest version. I went in thru my cpanel into the database and created a new user and added that user to the database, put that info in the wp-config.php file and uploaded that and bingo… my site came back 🙂
