WPRanger, thank you for your response. I think i am having a browser issue because the site shows up fine on my safari and one other computer using IE 11. it is not showing up ok on two of my other computers running Vista and IE9. any ideas?
can you expand a bit on the code for the avvo link and suggest a fix?
