In reply to: [Easing Slider] Latest update broke a client's sitehehe it was not nice at all, I was on my way out and since I logged in to the site to check something unrelated I thought I’d just do a quick update of the site … but then the slider didn’t show up. I went from 0 to frustrated in one second flat 🙂

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Latest update broke a client's siteThanks, since you’re pretty helpful in the issue and this whole thing was either a glitch or a mistake on our part I have revised my review score.
Best of luck.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Update broke my siteYes, the message was displayed within the admin screen, within the Easing Slider admin panel. Once dismissed it wouldn’t show again.
That is weird as when I did the update yesterday, the message wasn’t there and my client didn’t mention anything about it to me.
I’ve been in that position many times before, but definitely tried to be as accommodating as possible with v2.0. I know the frustration.
Yeah, if the messages were there, the transition would have been more or less painless. Must have been either a glitch or the client Dismissed it and forgot to notify me.

In reply to: [Enhanced Recent Posts] Dirty Fix for Enhanced Recent Posts on WP 3.5Here’s a quick fix:
- Go to the “Plugins” area
- find the “Enhanced Recent Posts” plugin and click on “Edit”
- within the widget-class.php file change %i% to __i__ (two underscores on both sides of “i”)
That should do the trick.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Latest update broke a client's siteI did import them, my main complaint is with the changing of the class names which made the slider not appear at all. You can see what I mean in the other thread I opened regarding this issue.
The notice was pretty inconspicuous especially since neither me nor my client visited the “Easing Slider” portion of the site as everything was set up and didn’t need changing. If there was any other message in the admin screen my client didn’t see it and I would have caught it if the site was in the development stage, but since it was in production I didn’t have to log in as much.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Update broke my siteOh, I know you aren’t making money from Lite, I was referring to dividing the original Easing Slider into the Lite and the Pro version. The thing is this kind of a message will go unnoticed by most clients (I didn’t get any notice from my client) especially if they don’t really visit the “Easing Slider” part of the site, and my client didn’t need to because all the slides were set and didn’t need to be updated.
Was this notice displayed anywhere in WordPress’s main admin screen?
I updated the plugin not knowing about this big change and found, even after importing old settings that the slide classes within the plugin were changed which broke the layout and I had to spend some time fixing it. I realize I am complaining about a free service, but it just caught me off guard as I didn’t expect it.
Anyway, thanks for the upgrading links, as they might come in handy to someone doing the upgrade, and best of luck to you in selling the Pro version.
Ok, thanks anyway.
Went with a second installation, marked as resolved.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Update JQuery! There’s an option within the Easing Slider to not load jQuery so the version that gets loaded with WordPress remains intact.

In reply to: [Galleria Galleria] Responsive Mode width:100%I don’t think the author of Galleria Galleria implemented the responsive functionality as I searched for it through the code but couldn’t find it.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] How do I disable caching of a captcha image? To everyone that stumbles across this problem and has the same issue with Super Cache – I solved it by using the plugin W3 Total Cache, which worked like a charm straight out of the box.
Good tips, thanks, they worked.
Ok, thanks.
