    Just an update, as of updating to WP 3.2.1 I have not encountered the 404 issue. I was not able to gain FTP access and thus I’m not sure what the problem was, sorry if this doesn’t help anyone else.

    A very good question, if the login page stops giving me a 404 error I’ll give it a try.

    I suspect it might have something to do with the theme but I wonder how that would affect the login page…

    Also I know that the permalink structure is custom rather than the default (ugly) one, and I’ve read that it might have an effect so I’ll try changing that if/when I get access again.
