Thanks again for the useful comments; I think I need those books definitely!:)

I have spoken to my web developer and he has responded with the following spiel in regards to integrating Word Press MU with my site:

“we always use our own coding and programming as we have found that external software tends to be difficult and costly to install, and also tends to be very limited for integrating into our back-end system. To develop the site using one of these software packages will actually work out very costly for you, and will limit the back-end functions available to you.”

Any truth to those words or just a sales technique?

Blondishnet, with buddypress can you link blogs to social networking profiles on a site? What other advantages/features does it have?
