Yes Recaptcha is only for avoiding spam and your suggestions are worth a mention also outside this Thread, as they are avoiding the only problem (at least in Europe) with your plugin (although it is a google problem). The real problem is, that it loads the google font on the entire page, not only at the login sites, so you cannot even make a workaround
with a front page, where users have to accect data transfer in the USA obligatorily for entering the website .In Germany and Austria some so called clever lawyers are starting to make money with abusing website owners with this google font issue and especially the problem, that Recaptcha is loading google fonts even if the content of the specific part of the website is not using the Recaptcha is somewhat surprising and worth noting at least in the user guide.
For me the problem is solved, as I turned off Recaptcha entirely and will try out your suggestionsnto avoid spam.

When I look into the plugin section at the dashboard it is “Version 3.4.4.2 | Von Chad Butler”; when I try to install “WP-Members Membership plugin” it is installed. So I dont think I have a wrong or similar named version.
I also noted the same behaviour with Elementor, when I activate a Video-Background using a Youtube-Video.
So next I had a look, which sections loads “Roboto” when WP-Members is activated and it is RECAPTCHA V3 !!. When disabling RECAPTCHA V3 in WP-Members there is no loading of Roboto as their is no action using google. So it is the Google-RECAPTCHA functionality in WP-Members.
So the problem is any sideloading of google stuff. Any idea how to prevent this ? This google font loading is getting a big problem in europe right now.
