In reply to: [Polylang] Huge problem after update installation.Arturo I got my site back, dashboard included, accessing via FTP to the wordpress folder. I’ve just replaced the httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/polylang directory with a backup of it I did a week ago. Nothing more! DO NOT uninstall (as I did) the plugin, otherwise you’ll lose all its setings!
Keep in mind that the fixed version Chouby released yesterday works just fine (at least to me).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Polylang] Huge problem after update installation.Dear Chouby,
the new fixed version of polylang works perfectly!
speaking about the link you sent me:
https://polylang.wordpress.com/documentation/documentation-for-developers/functions-reference/
Since I’m not a programmer, it’s quite difficult to check the “pll__******” strings the document refers to. In which file should I check for them? I’m not a programmer and, to tell you the truth, I don’t even remember how I exactly implemented the translation buttons in my site since I did it a couple of yars ago!
By the way my site is http://www.webfoddculture.com, any advice would be very appreciated.
Again, many thanks!

In reply to: [Polylang] Huge problem after update installation.Chouby,
I have restored my site using a backup, now it works just fine.
Since this version of your plugin seems not to work, at least for my site (don’t really know which is my PHP version), should I wait for another, improved version?
Many thanks!
Fine, nice to hear it.
Thanks a lot!

Many thanks for youe help!

Hi,
ok I’ve deleted all the user accounts except mine.
I’ve compared old core / theme / plugin files with the originals: no problems.
I’ve completed a complete scan: no problems found.
It seems that my site is not in google blacklist.
Please tell me everything is fine and I’m defended by wordfence from now on!
Any other security check / suggestion is much appreciated, of course.
Thanks a lota.
Ciao
Antonio

In reply to: WordPress unknown admin users.Ok, I’ve checked with the service provider and it seems that the account is checked for virus / malware every day.
Now, I have these users:
admin
admin26
admin32
administrator
rootI’ve not created (I use just “uxapp*****”), can I just delete them?

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress unknown admin users.Hi Kai,
a few months ago, after I suspected to be attacked, I installed the wordfence plugin. I’ve used it to clean my site from possible malign code etc.
Do you think this is enough and the users are just left-overs from the attack?
What can you suggest me to fix this? Thanks a lot.

In reply to: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget] Simple timer, without theme.Baden, thanks for your help,
I’ve copied all my custom CSS code in the custom css area of the plugin settings.
I’ve chosen “carbonite-responsive” into the “Force Load CSS” section.
“Rockstar Features” is NOT checket atm.Since I’ve a new to my custom style, I have uploaded the file and set the new path into my custom css. background.
It seems to work just fine. Could you please tell me if everything is correct?
Thanks a lot again!

I’d like just to create my own theme, this way I have no problem when the plugin is updated. Many thanks.

In reply to: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget] Simple timer, without theme.Hi Baden, thanks a lot I have already tried this and it does not work. I’m not using the plugin as a widget: I’ve just inserted your string in my CSS code.

In reply to: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget] Simple timer, without theme.Ok, reading carefully the documentation and after a few attempts I’ve been able to modify the “carbonite-responsive” theme (both the style.css and the background image) to reach my goal.
Just one question: right now I’ve overwrited the original “carbonite-responsive” theme files. Is this the right way? Can I create a new theme? Please keep in mind that I don’t use your plugin as a widget but I’ve inserted it in my page using the css string.
Many thanks in advance.

In reply to: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget] Simple timer, without theme.I almost forgot. Is it possible to get rid also of the field with “weeks”, “seconds” and so on?
Again, many thanks.
Hi Richard,
I’ve tried, it does not work. I have also tried to roll back all the changes I just recently made to the top part of the site but without success. So, since so much is going on in the header, I decided to switch the popup to the bottom side .. and it works perfectly!
Many thanks for your help and again, thanks for your great plugin!
