In reply to: [Polylang] String translations not savingHi,
I have tried to use another cookie plugin, ‘Cookie consent’, but the problem is the same: when I update ‘Strings translations’ to get the messages in 2 different languages, these messages are not saved.
Please help.

Thanks a lot again Dave,
I have just installed Meta Slider and changed the Header.php and it works fine.
I just want to notify you a couple of small problems:
please go to my website http://www.webfoodculture.com
1) When the slider is loaded (or it’s reloaded), it takes a couple of seconds to reach the right size, resulting in a small “jump” (reload my home page and you’ll see ehat I mean).
Since your plugin has so many options, is there one to fix this strange behaviour? (I use the default settings with just a small increase of slide delay and animation speed times)2) I have tried the “Coin Slider” random effects: they are very nice but when I try to see the page on my ipad mini, the header and and body of the page show huge problems.
Many thanks again Dave!

Hi Dave,
thanks a lot again, I’ve solved the problem with the featured image for the header in twenty-eleven.
One last thing: I’m migrating from the old slider plugin, easingslider (discontinued, as it seems), to Meta.
Right now this is the code I use in my header php for easingslider is:
if ( is_front_page() or is_home() or is_search() ) {
if ( function_exists( ‘easingsliderlite’ ) ) {
easingsliderlite();}
}
else if ( $header_image ) :This allows me to have the sliders working ONLY in the main pages (in both languages) and in search page.
How should I change your previous code to have the same effect? Can I replace it entirely to the easing slider code? (Sry I’m really not into programming)
Thanks a lot again!

Thanks a lot to you Dave!
fact is that this way I have to add a line to the header.php each time I add a new page. I could use Meta Slider just for the home page.
Do you know if it’s possible to have a header image without using the featured image? My theme is twenthy-eleven.
Again, many thanks!

In reply to: [AddToAny Share Buttons] Image shared by twitter.LOL, yes … typo of the year 😉
Many thanks for your help!

Yes, I confirm, the update fixes the fancybox / lightbox issue but basically blocks every internal link.
Problem solved disabling Javascript for tracking outbound clicks.
Hope this will be fixed in the next update.
Thanks

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Image popup and https.Hello Music,
thanks for your help.
The problem is that Easy Fancybox is not compatible with the last update of Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights. If I disable this plugin, Easy Fancybox works perfectly.
Since there are not a lot of options in Analytics, I think I’ll disable it until a better, more compatible version will be released.
Many thanks for your help!

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Image popup and https.Hi music,
I have installed as you suggested twentyseventeen, then I used the Live Preview to see if the problem persisted.
It’s still there: when I click on an image it pops up normally, but after just a couple of seconds the image is still displayed but the image goes gray (or white, as in this case).
I really have not the slightest idea how I could fix this …

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Image popup and https.Hi,
thanks a lot for your help:
I have disabled great part of my plugins without any result.
About the image links format: apart from changing http to https, I have changed nothing.
Could you please let me know the correct format, so as to try if it solves the problem? (I’m not a coder, so this could be the problem)
Many thanks

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Image popup and https.A correction: I have tried to switch some image links back to http:// but the problem persists: the problems is clearly not related to https.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] bug on browser resizeI have the same problem: when switching from portrait to landscape mode on a tablet, the header image does not resize accordingly.
Until the version 2.2, the plugin had not this issue and the resizing of the sliding image was WAY more fluid.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] “uploads” buckup not completed.Hi DNutbourne,
I have tried to authenticate updraft with another Dropbox account but the result is the same: the archive files are only partially uploaded and for this reason some of them get corrupted in the process.
I have also tried to change the repository, switching from Dropbox to Google Drive and it seems to work quite well: my first attempt was a success and the files uploaded correctly.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] “uploads” buckup not completed.This leads me to suspect that the problem could be widespread, since many (I am one of them) usually don’t check the archives.
A solution to corrupted files could be for Updraft to compare the filesize of the original backup files with that of the copies before sending the “all right” message.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] “uploads” buckup not completed.Hi DNutbourne,
I am using dropbox.com and downloading the files directly from their repository.
I check the files locally. The same did the Siteground senior staff and they had the same problem. The file is correctly created on their servers but for some reason it gets corrupted during the transfer to Dropbox.They have also tried another backup plugin that uses dropbox and it worked fine. It seems to be a Updraft issue when connecting to Dropbox.
Please don’t ask me to give away the site credentials. It seems that a senior technician of SG, Ivan Yordanov, is reading this, please ask him.
Many thanks.
