In reply to: [Enhanced Media Library] Unable to set media category during uploadSorry, for the delay. I was using the debaat’s version of the the enhanced media library to allow for batch category selection (http://www.de-baat.nl/enhanced-media-library/ -I have over 600 pieces of media I was trying to organize). I didn’t think that would affect this piece of function, but it appears it had. I backed out his version and restored the original and it now works fine for me. Many thanks to the plugin author for her quick responses and help.

Basically I am checking if the category is set on my image by looking at it in the Media Library. Hope the screen shots will help.
