I tried Firebug and another….both let me edit the JavaScript, but that’s not the issue. Once I edit the JS I can see my changes take effect, but they don’t last. How do I make lasting edits to the JS?

A user named buzztone keeps suggesting switching to a default theme to see if the theme is interfering, or disabling all plugins to see if that is the culprit, but neither solution has worked for me.
I have two sites with this plugin; on one of the sites it works fine, and on the other it doesn’t. So frustrating.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] 'Message Sent' message not showingI am having the same problem and these solutions are not working. I tried to edit the Java Script, and could get it to display the message sent box, but then I’d refresh the page and my edits were lost.
Ok, I have tried editing the JavaScript, learning as I go. I can edit the HTML so that the message box appears, but when I open a new tab or a new browser to test it out, my changes have not taken effect.
Any other help?
I am having the same problem. I disabled all plugins other than CF7. Didn’t help. I changed the theme. Didn’t help. I am not very familiar with Java Script, so I need direction on how to fix it. However, I have another website with same theme, and also use CF7 and it’s working just fine.
Any help appreciated!

WordPress 4.0, moesia theme, “Font” plugin (by Pawel Misiurski). I’ll probably be adding an SEO plugin as well but don’t have one running at the moment.

For now I am using a separate widget, although I would like to use the customizr feature of having the social media links in the header. Oh well.
