Wow that’s very fast and a very good news 😉
Yes I just made the site public, please feel free to have a look at it:
http://quasilimbo.comFor your information, there’re currently 2 defined terms: Nicholas Bullen and Napalm Death.
http://quasilimbo.com/lexicon/nicholas-bullen
http://quasilimbo.com/lexicon/napalm-deathThe first one has 116 words. The second one has 56 and working fine, at least not until I add a few more words to it!
If you have to I could also invite you to be the site admin temporarily to study it.
I did, one by one and all of them, still had the problem.
I also just did a fresh installation of WordPress and installed the plugin right after that and still unable to link to the term whenever the term has more than… 53 words.
I upload a few photos to demonstrate.
1. when I keep the terms within 53 words
http://www.2imgs.com/2b5285af7c2. the post displays correctly
http://www.2imgs.com/c5bc6b41923. when I add just another extra word
http://2imgs.com/d4ad7a50834. no links to term
http://www.2imgs.com/b2cb1c36e5Hi,
I’m going to describe it. I think it a bit silly but I’ll try.
It was with 1.5.6. It was like this: originally when I copied the text from Word it had 121 words. I did check to make sure it copied text only. When I saved the term, and went to the blog post, the whole paragraph that contained the term vanished. It was omitted from the post. So I went back to edit the term and deleted any characters that seemed suspicious like “(” and “)”, and gradually deleted the number of words. I spent sometime with it doing trial and error, when the word count was 54 or 55 the whole thing worked again. Now this is for the first term. I had another one which was also around 100 words, and in this one the word count limit seemed to be 64, which makes the bug seems random to me.
I deleted the plugin after that and reinstalled it. Still had the problem. I don’t recall I had this problem at the time when I reported the image with caption bug.
Today I’ve just installed the newer 1.5.7 and give it another try. It seems that the problem still there but now instead of the paragraph disappear thing, there’s just simply no link to the term. If I had a blank term, it works, there’s a link automatically generated in the post to go to the term. A term with like less than 50 words, it still works. But anything longer like 100 words won’t work. I am sure in the term it has simple text only, normal English characters.
I use self hosted WordPress 3.9.1, Tonal theme, with the following plugins enabled: BulletProof, Contact Form 7, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP, Hello Dolly, Jetpack, TinyMCE Advanced (this was installed after I found out the problem though), WP Maintenance Mode. That’s all.
Hope it helps.
Thanks I’ve just updated the plugin. It’s weird I’m having another issue. I only have two terms now. In the first one whenever I have more than 55 words in the post it would crash. In the second one it’s 64 words. So if I have a lengthy post, it would crash, the whole paragraph disappears. Only words, no images. Guess I’m gonna delete the terms and redo them, or perhaps reinstall the plugin.
