What i mean is will the new theme in child theme mode allow to me add a sidebar to just the post page?
Hello again as well.
Choosing another theme did cross my mind but i only want the sidebar on that page. so my question is, if i choose another theme and then make a child theme won’t i be back to where i am now?

I tried to find the template drop down on the page but i’m using a child theme and there is no template drop down on the “edit page” screen, the only page attribute that I can see is named “parent”. I’m wondering if this is because of the child theme, and if so, how do i make a new template or get a template to the child theme?
