I’m having trouble with this.
I made a wordpress installation at http://www.andyssummerplayhouse.org/wordpress – so it was installed in a subfolder called “wordpress” .
Now I want to make it live, replacing the current root site. I tried (after backing everything up) deleting everything but the favicon.ico file from the root, and moving all the files from the wordpress folder into the root.
But that didn’t work. Then I read about changing the “WordPress Address (URL)”. But in my WordPress’s General Settings that box is grayed out. I can only change the “Blog Address (URL)”.
What am I supposed to do?
Thanks!
I’m looking for something a bit different.
Right now I have a static homepage and a sepearte blog page. What I ideally want is for any post I make to be automatically ALSO posted to my homepage in a truncated formatted format, like a News Preview which can then be clicked on to take you to the actual post.
I feel like this is pretty common on websites, but I can’t figure out a way to do it here.
