thx a lot for your fast reply. What you say assumes – the plugin had to load the images in older versions as well – that the loading time would not have changed. But this delayed appeareance of the images is just the case since I’ve updated the plugin.

So there are in general three possible causes:
a) the plugin has problems with the theme / other plugins
b) the plugin has a bug
c) my server is lagging
