Can you try flushing your permalinks from settings -> permalinks -> just click the save button
I’ve managed to replicate your issue on a local install. It went away after a database reset using this tool — https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/
Can you try that if there isn’t any important content on your website already?
This seems like a bug since they are displayed correctly on the Author box inside a single post.
