In reply to: CSS for horizontal icons in footer widgetThe <br> is not in the code you posted. So, not sure why the icons are not all aligned. But I think I found a way around it, in the visual part of the text widget I basically just dragged the icon that was out of line and put it next to the rest and it seems to be working. I checked and the only thing that seems to change in the code is that style=”display: inline !important; was added right after <div><a, take a look: https://tinyurl.com/y3crecgs
Yes, the class appears to default from the theme, I’ll keep an eye on it in case I add another text widget to the footer. Thank you so much for your help!

In reply to: CSS for horizontal icons in footer widgetThis seems to be working, however, the first icon is not falling in line. Do you know why? This is how it looks: https://tinyurl.com/y65hkyuy
I don’t think there is any “class” in the HTML code I copied from this link: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/#add-custom-social-icons that might’ve been the problem with the style from the start, I think.
I thought I could just use that HTML code and replace the URLs with mine and then style it with a CSS code, however, I tried different CSS and none worked.

In reply to: CSS for horizontal icons in footer widgetI’m really not sure why the buttons are acting that way. I just copied and pasted the code given in this link: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/#add-custom-social-icons and replaced the url for the link and images with mine. I repeated it for each of the 5 icons.
