Hello there.
We’re sorry to hear you’re not satisfied with what the Lite version has to offer, but we’ve tried to clearly advertise what it includes and who it’s for. As a Lite version of the Amelia Booking Plugin, you are able to configure a single employee and see how it works. Even with its limitations, it can still be (and is) used by solopreneurs who don’t require advanced configuration of the plugin.
There are no limitations when it comes to the number of Services you want to create, and it surely is not true that you can’t display them on the website. You can use the shortcodes listed on our website to display different forms, or you can use Elementor, WP Bakery, Divi, and Gutenberg blocks to add forms on your front-end pages without the shortcodes – only by selecting the form that you want, so we believe that you simply didn’t find your way in the plugin to accomplish that. We’re here to help with that!
The free version allows you, or your clients, to see what Amelia looks like and what it can do. The features and functionalities that are blocked in the Lite version also show you what you can do if you choose to go for the full version of the plugin. Our support team is always there to help clear things up and provide you with assistance if you encounter any issues.
Your review seems to be related to what you expect to see in the Lite version, and not to the actual features and functionalities the plugin has to offer, so we feel that’s a bit unfair since (as stated before) we’ve listed the abilities of the Lite version while all premium features are present but blocked, so even without visiting our documentation you know what you’re missing out on.
Please feel free to reach out to our support if you have any doubts or questions and we’re confident that they will help you change your mind about Amelia and maybe even switch to the commercial (full) version.
Kind regards.
Hello Jerome, thank you for reaching out to us.
For this purpose, you can take a look at the packages feature in Amelia. It will work great for your purposes.
Amelia doesn’t yet have a membership feature, but it will be developed as a part of a premium license in the future.
Any membership plugin (like MemberPress, or Ultimate Member, etc.) allows you to create pages that are inaccessible to some (for example non-logged-in users). You can also create custom logic, so a user can access this page once a month (for example), but we’re not sure about that, since we don’t work with Membership plugins.
Hello, you are right, there is currently no option to differentiate these buttons between free and paid events. We will have this passed to our management as a suggestion to have this changed in one of the updates in the future.
In the meantime, please let us know if you have any other questions.

In reply to: [Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar - Amelia] Event subtitle?Hello, thank you for clearing that up.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia’s built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
Hello, thank you for reaching out to us.
For that purpose, you can change the label of that button on the Amelia/Customize page.
Hope this helps you.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Can you please elaborate on what you are reffering to?
At the moment, you can filter the events with their IDs and tags as well using the shortcodes.
Hope this helps you.

In reply to: [Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar - Amelia] Duration of a serviceHello Patowins, thank you for reaching out to us.
For that purpose, you would need to change the “Default time slots step” option to 5, 10 or 20 minutes and it will work fine from your purpose.

In reply to: [Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar - Amelia] weekly calendarHello, thank you for reaching out to us.
If you are referring to the back-end calendar page, the default view is a weekly view. If you are referring to the event calendar booking form, there is no weekly view for it, there is only a monthly view for the events display.

Hi @krawc, thank you for your honest review, and we are sorry you had this experience with customizing Amelia.
We understand that the codebase is not what you’re used to seeing in WP plugins. We use a DDD architecture paradigm in the backend, and Amelia front-end is practically a single-page app, talking with the back-end through an API, we’re leveraging certain frameworks both on the front-end and back-end, to be able to use modern coding approaches. And yes, those aren’t easy to understand at first sight, yet, this allows a much more readable, stable, and extendable codebase for the development team and a better overall software for users.
And, actually, on the infrastructure layer, we do use WordPress’ entities (including users and roles) and WPDB connection.
Having said that, we are currently working on all the extendability options for external developers: WP hooks, API documentation, and front-end hooks. So, in the near future, extending Amelia and developing external addons will be easier.
In the meantime you could contact our support if you have some questions with regards to the customization, perhaps there are easier ways.
Thanks!

Hello John, thank you for reaching out to us.
For your purposes, the best option would be to configure the “Minimum time required before booking” option on the Amelia/Services/Settings page.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
