Ha! Well when I went to login to my webhost to edit, I saw the “Enforce SSL” selection and enabled it. Hopefully that will do the trick!
    Thanks,
    Alyssa

    Thanks George and Threadi,
I can’t seem to find a place in Jetpack or Wordfence to force to https. Is editing htaccess the way to go then, and if so, can you point me toward a resource for editing?

Thanks for your reply. I got another attempted hacking last night but it looks like they were unable to create their user.

I was able to reset the password and login to my site. So I didn’t need to do anything with FTP.

To use 2FA do I just need to copy and paste one of those 5 recovery codes each time and what happens when I run out of codes?
Am I actually supposed to go into Google Authenticator each time I want to login and use that 6 digit code?

Just upgraded to Premium by the way.

I’m noticing that if I start a new post, I can then select Classic Editor in the list of options. This allows me to copy and paste my verse in, and it looks good at first but as soon as I save and preview it, it gets rid of all the spaces in between lines. I can add them back with a return key, but then it gives me what looks like a double or triple space.

I also see that the width allowance here is not as wide as I would like it to be, but only one of my lines got bounced to the next line instead of several, which is an improvement over the verse editor.

I’m really surprised this is so difficult.

Steven I haven’t published it yet because I am not happy with the way it looks.

Here’s the Preview but I don’t know if you can see it:
    https://alymcf.wordpress.com/?p=2553&preview=true

Basically when a line is a little too long for the verse block, it bounces to the next line and begins a character or two to the left of the next line. It’s as if it has no idea how an indent is supposed to work.

    Like this:
This is the first line of text that is apparently too long even though it is
    not long at all
This is the second line of text

But ideally, the verse block would allow me to finish my sentence on one line, making the question of how the indent works a moot point.

It looks like my Reddle theme wants me to pay for a Premium plan before it will let me edit CSS. 🙁

Steven is there a way to change the width of the verse block? It seems to only accept lines of about 55 characters or so.

HealthCheck now works, the only plugin I cant use now is Jetpack…
Been trying all week to update jetpack and keep getting messages about the server being busy “Update failed: Connection lost or the server is busy. Please try again later.”. I am able to update other plug-ins without any issue. Thinking the install might be corrupt, I just tried to delete it. I get the message “”Could not fully remove the plugin jetpack/jetpack.php”

    WordPress
    5.6

    PHP
    7.4.10

    MySQL
    5.6.49

Trying to update Jetpack Version 7.9.1 to 9.2.1

Looks like I had the wrong SMTP server set in gmail.

WP version is 5.6, PHP 7.4. Looks like Health Check might be too old.

Now that the email works, trying to change the email becomes less important lol.

    Thanks for your help.

BY the way when I tried to activate Healthcheck it says “The plugin does not have a valid header.”

    Thanks,
I wonder if this is related to the fact that I cannot send emails via gmail from any of my domain emails. I get the msg: ” Message not delivered
You’re sending this from a different address or alias using the ‘Send mail as’ feature. The settings for your ‘Send mail as’ account are misconfigured or out of date. Check those settings and try resending.

Thanks t-p. Do you know of any alternative plugins or ways to check PHP compatibility of plugins?

    I figured it out.
