To get your Ads in the sidebar, you need to use Ad Blocks.

Hope this can be helpful for you.

This is the only thing I succeeded to do with Simple Ads Manager. If I put an Ad in Ad Zones for the Home Page, my ad appears everywhere or nowhere.
