Regarding the workaround I guess I don’t really get the point. I can add a “Simple iCal Block” in my “LiveEditor” (I’m not quite sure if this is offered by siteorigin or the classic wordpress editor). When adding the calender on my page, the blocks title is “Simple Google iCalendar Widget”.
However: i recognised after adding a new widet with “#example” as URL, it works. It just doesnt seem to work with an ical-link.
